SCSC is unlike other security and conflict sector focused consultancy agencies which exist today; we started small and intend to remain small.

SCSC provides consultancy at the individual specialist level, and purposefully avoids the temptation to expand its own base support capacity.  If requested by the client, SCSC will assume responsibility for total project delivery within the parameters agreed with the client, and will tailor the numbers and types of SCSC consultants to be made available accordingly.  The need for costs to cover large, bureaucratic overheads, associated with office structures and support staff, not to mention the usual profit margin, does not exist. 

SCSC’s approach is based on a dual strategy approach which combines client satisfaction with the interests of SCSC employees, while maintaining a Not-for-Profit concept of operations.  Client satisfaction is of paramount importance in terms of providing a professional and highly effective solution to the client’s needs.  We recognize there is a distinct relationship between client satisfaction and the sense of purpose gained by our consultants, who themselves are instrumental in providing that client’s satisfaction.

SCSC benefits from staff and consultants' significant experience in security and conflict sectors, based on many accumulated years of active military service, including counter-insurgency and peace-support operations; as well as senior advisory and management experience within organizations such as national government, the United Nations and Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs).  Our broad portfolio of experience includes security, military and humanitarian engagement and development in Central America, Bosnia, Kosovo, Croatia, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, North Africa, Indonesia and Eastern Africa.  Experience has been gained, and work continues, in some of the most challenging crisis and post-crisis areas - both from a security perspective, as well as the need to absorb and overcome the challenges associated with operating in multi-national, multi-cultural, multi-disciplined and multi-capable environments.
